ABOUT US

I have been blessed to walk this earth with such a kindred spirit... My wife Karen!

Karen and I met many years ago in a Sunday School class.

We recently celebrated 31 years of  marriage, raised 2 Awesome children, Deidre and Buddy (Paul Jr.) and have 5 wonderful grandchildren, Julia, Mattalynn and Paul III, Trinity Grace and Jack.

Our goal in life is simple, "Be a Blessing to Others".

Through the years, Karen and I have worked in many children's and adult ministries, Chad Brown Story Hour, Girls Only (formerly Missionettes), Royal Rangers, Total Impact Youth Ministry, Nursing home visitation, taught in private school and held various leadership and board positions. We volunteer extensively with local charities, because we believe in the importance of helping others.

We currently volunteer with a few charities:

Karen & I currently serve on the executive board of Find Your Bold where we can use our diverse experience to make an impact in the community.

Find Your Bold was originally created to support one individual with an intellectual disability as she conquered the course for the first time.  This team of three has grown to 23 in 2016 and includes members with physical and intellectual disabilities, phobias, social and emotional anxieties, cancer survivors, veterans, and domestic violence survivors. Supported by each other and other teammates along the way, each member find’s their Bold in their own way.

We have been involved with Meeting Street for the last 11 years. As a volunteer, we have assisted with their annual Telethon, Walk-n-Roll, Pell Bridge Run, and the CVS Charity Classic as well as recruiting other volunteers.

In 2015, Karen and I were nominated by Meeting Street, and acknowledged by the Rhode Island Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, as Partners in Philanthropy, for demonstrated commitment to improving the quality of life for others in Rhode Island, through active participation in volunteer and philanthropic activities.

I started with ALYN Hospital in 2017 as a participant in their Wheels of Love event. The Wheels of Love event consists of riders from 15 countries gathering in Israel to ride their bicycles in order to raise donations that go directly to helping the children in their care. The first ride in 2017 made such an impact on my life I was determined to bring Karen in 2018 allowing her to experience the dedication the hospital has to help-ing these children push beyond their "Limitations" allowing them to enjoy life beyond their expectations. I am honored to be returning in 2019 for my 3rd ride.

This website, as well as our 10 Pins for ALYN Bowl-A-Thon are part of the efforts I use to do this. Over the past 2 years we have been able to raise $8,000.

My goal for 2019 is to raise another $5,000.
